Our premium-grade rLung formula (རླུང་སྤོས་མཆོག།) features highly-prized black agarwood (ཨ་གར་ནག་པོ་) cultivated on sustainable farms in Southeast Asia. Like our standard rLung incense, this formula is based on the classic Tibetan Medical formula Agar 31, but is ideal for those seeking a more potent and luxurious incense experience.
In Traditional Tibetan Medicine, Agar 31 has been used for centuries to support relaxation, mental wellbeing, and as a meditation aid. It’s composed of a complex blend of aromatic and healing herbs, including its famous namesake, the legendary agarwood (aquillaria spp.), known in perfumery as oud.
Our Premium rLung Incense is a modern take on this classic formula, with a stronger base of sustainably-cultivated agarwood than most modern options available on the market. The addition of high-quality resinous oud makes this a highly precious formula, carefully handcrafted in small batches by Tibetan Medicine practitioner Erik Jampa Andersson.
Ingredients include multiple species of agarwood, including resin-rich aquilaria sustainably-grown in Thailand, as well as an array of warming spices such as clove, nutmeg, cardamom, and cinnamon, the highly sacred myrobalan, costus and elfwort roots, a variety of Himalayan evergreens, and many more premium ingredients.
